Hello...I’m Philip De Vere of De Vere Diamonds, and welcome to Talking Diamonds.

In case you don’t know me, I’m the Co Founder and Managing Director of De Vere Diamonds Limited and The De Vere Diamond Group Limited.

My journey through the world of art, diamonds, jewellery and luxury has lasted more than 30 years, and I love every minute of it. I love the creative process. The skills of the artist and artisan to take pigment, metals or precious gemstones and shape them into something captivating, something that makes you stop and take a second look, whether that’s a piece of art or a piece of fine jewellery.

During these 30 years, I have also worked as a freelance journalist, writing on a variety of subjects within the world of luxury and jewellery. I love a good story.

A good story can be found anywhere. Take the ring on your finger. It tells a story of love, but behind that ring are a dozen or more fascinating tales that you probably haven’t even considered. From the metals and gemstones that form it, to the individuals who made it possible, be they miners, polishers, designers or jewellers. Every sparkle and glint has a story to tell.

My aim is to bring this world of art, jewellery and luxury to new audience, and to do that through ‘Talking Diamonds’.
